Bad Weather Baddies Co started the way a lot of small businesses probably do: with too many ideas, not enough money, and a dangerous amount of confidence after midnight.

I’m Sara, and I’m the person behind the designs, product ideas, late-night launches, and the occasional “wait… should this be a shirt?” moment.

I started Bad Weather Baddies Co because I wanted to build something of my own. Something creative, flexible, a little weird, and actually fun to work on.

Right now, I’m creating a mix of funny, cozy, witchy, seasonal, personalized, and Pacific Northwest-inspired products …. plus the digital downloads and whatever other ideas refuse to leave me alone long enough to become a listing.

This blog is where I’m going to share the more personal side of building the business.

Not just the polished parts.

I wanted to talk about:

• how I come up with product ideas
• what goes into choosing and refining designs
• Etsy and print-on-demand lessons
• branding and marketing experiments
• business mistakes I wish I had known about sooner
• practical do’s and don’ts
• things that work
• things that absolutely do not
• and what it actually looks like to try to build a small business from the ground up

I’m still figuring a lot of this out in real time, which is kind of the point.

This is not going to be one of those “I made six figures in 30 days and now I’m going to sell you a course” blogs.

It’s more:

Here’s what I tried. Here’s what happened. Here’s what I learned. And here’s what I’m trying next.

Some days that means creating a design I genuinely love.

Other days it means realizing at 11 PM that apparently I need a Linktree, an email list, seven social media accounts, tax forms, product mockups, and at least a passing understanding of seventeen different websites.

Very glamorous. 😂

But I also think there’s something interesting about showing the process while it’s still messy.

I want Bad Weather Baddies Co to become more than just a collection of products. I want it to feel like a real brand with personality, humor, and a point of view.
